She’s rough, and parts availability is slim. The tin looks pretty all there though, as well as the wheels and axles and transmission, though a lot of the engine appears to be missing. Might still be worth it to low-ball and part out...

P.S. It was 90 degrees on Friday, tonight we have a frost warning and chance of snow.

I don’t think parts availability is slim...doesn’t Porsche make replacement parts for these now?
Also, this commercial is awesome:

Parts availability in the US is slim, repro parts seem to be readily available in Europe, but I can’t find anyone selling new parts in North America. Three cylinder kits is expensive to begin with, add international shipping on ~200 kilos of iron and it gets REALLY expensive. (~1600 euro) thats assuming the crank and block are OK, and injection pumps are rebuild or core exchange only.

True, but if it was correctly
restored using Porsche parts that were imported, wouldn’t the value of an antique, functioning Porsche tractor if it was sold outweigh the restoration cost?
I thought these things in good shape sold for really good money?

That’s probably true... Looks like recent sales for supers are $ 40-60k. I don’t have the budget for a Porsche restoration though, and I don't like the fact that the block plugs are open... Who knows how long they've been that way and what's gotten in there. Also, it does appear that at least two jugs and heads are missing completely...

Hmm, cheapest here is:
2005 Porsche Cyenne $2900 (Merrimac)
Probably not as useful on a farm, though I guess with the tractor not running, maybe the needs work C ayenne might have an edge.

Yeah, I wouldn’t take it on either, but I bet somebody could make a profit on it!

they dont sound super cheap unrestored. But also nto crazy price restored. I think youd be looking at a super niche buyer.

This is a rarer (in t he US) three-cylinder 308/Super, not a Junior. They seem to go for pretty good money restored... Sure the buyers are niche, but there aren’t that many of them to go around either.

Make an offer says the owner. IF you want someone to go look at it, I can probably arrange that... though it is more than half the length of the state away from me. The sheet metal looks pretty good, it’s got some dents, but the real important bits don’t appear rusty. The engine looks like it’ll be a project.
