This is my favorite Duesenberg model. The later ones are looking a bit too fancy for me .

A much higher percentage of Model As were sold with factory bodies, made under contract by Misspaugh & Irish, whereas Model Js were fitted with a much wider array of custom coachwork. Even their “factory” designs that were styled in-house by Duesenberg were outsourced to several different coachbuilders, based on customer preference, and were then further customized. That’s probably part of it, along with the fact that the Model A was aimed a bit downmarket from the J.
