In any event, the officer who killed George Floyd has reportedly been arrested, so that’s a step in the right direction.
And while it’s not especially important compared to the other images, statements released as images on twitter are terrible. If your statement is too long for twitter, it’s a sign you shouldn’t be posting it on twitter.

It’s great to hear from a well spoken, thoughtful authority figure. I miss that.
That said, this is a politicians response. Well meaning but ultimately useless unless something major actual changes. Which, it breaks my heart to say, it probably won’t.
Thi s will most likely die down, then in a few months or years it will happen again, and people will rightfully be appalled and enraged. The wheel goes round and round....

The officer has been charged with third degree murder and manslaughter. The other three offices involved are still under instigation, and charges against them may follow.

I, too, can pay lip service, sound concerned and offer no real solutions. Not unlike Barack Obama did for the entirety of his presidency. God, I wish he was in charge right now.
