Competition is good, but this just reversed everything I grew up with.

Hmm, Heinz mustard is everywhere, but this is the first time I’ve seen French’s ketchup.
Full disclosure: I love yellow mustard fanatically, and do not buy ketchup.

This happened because Heinz, in it’s PE funded cost-cutting endeavors, stopped making ketchup in Canada. French’s sensed blood in the water and stepped in. French’s is a zillion times better than the current corn syrup laced abomination that passes for modern day Heinz. It’s not even a contest.

Agreed. That Change is not allowed in my house.
Butt hole bottles are horrible to deal with. To much at once and dribble off to soon.

Same, although I have at least half a dozen kinds of mustard, with my go-to being the horseradish mustard from White Castle. I need to find more of the sweet Maui onion mustard - that stuff was amazing. But yeah, lots of yellow mustard as well. No honey mustard; like ketchup, it’s too sweet for me.
Ketchup? I never purchase it , and the only ketchup I have in the house is the packets from fast food orders, ketchup I never asked for (you’re going to give me ketchup for chili fries? really?) I prefer mustard or mayo, or better yet a combination of both, on my fries, if I get fries (something I don’t normally order)

Thanks for that info. I look forward to reading it. I love these stories of competition and filling vacancies in the market.

Yeah I don't like ketchup much for the same reason. I like any mustard that isn't sweet - honey mustard can DIAF along with miracle whip.

Some people may be offended when I say this, but MW is weird stuff that, like ketchup, isn’t allowed in my house. I grew up with a mother that never bought mayo but instead made it from scratch. Homemade mayo and artichokes were staples in our house, and even at a young age I loved them. Nowadays I just buy Duke’s, something we didn’t have in SoCal.

“ beat a dead horse” is rhyming slang for “eat some sauce” so yes

It rhymes with tomato sauce. Sort of, if you squint.
It’s one of those things that tends to get abbreviated further because ‘straya. You’d never ask for some “dead horse”. You’d ask for some “de dorse”.
Then you’d put it on your snag and mung it down

I don ‘t know what Heinz are doing with your tomato ketchup, but I love ours.
I guess it’s not just the tomato ketchup.

Homemade mayo is a revelation compared to the jarred stuff. You were spoiled there.
I’m not violently opposed to ketchup, I just think it’s not useful.
My 3.5 year old has never tried ketchup.
