A “
Mood”
to aim for.

Your mood seems to require way too many power poles...and a contrail.

Gorgeous pic....cool old car too...I’m not huge with American cars (weird as I’m Canadian, I know :P), but I think that’s an old ‘5
9 or so Chevy Impala :)

You could probably pass on the airborne lead floating about back then...

I think this is a fairly recent picture.

We just put it in the water now.

Yes.

I think it’s a '59 Biscayne, too plain to be an Impala.

You’re already halfway there since both cars have some paint issues in the roof. Now to find some power lines and a sunset. I’ll help you out with the background using a picture I took recently. Behold, the Big Chicken, the biggest and most American thing you’ve ever seen.
May have gone overboard with the clouds but better than a cont rail.

Holy cluck I love that chicken. I wanna go and KF-
S
ee it in person.
Never thought of my busted paintjob as “patina”. I’ll start calling it that from now on.

**checks to see if I used the word patina and sees I didn’t**
Yeah, it’s patina if the car is old and cool enough to begin with.
The Big Chicken used to be a little run down but it recently got a full renovation and an interior to match (gift shop!). Here’s a video of the eyes and beak moving. The eyes in particular are pretty cool.

To
ld you I’m not good with American stuff.... :P
But....aren’t they basically the same thing, just that the Biscayne has less features...?

The Biscayne was the entry level model, Bel Air the mid range, and Impala the top of the line - there were also three corresponding station wagons, Parkwood, Brookwood, and Nomad.
They did all use the same body shell and chassis, as GM was still only competing in what was then called the "standard size" category, what would later become known as full-size, but they were all marketed as distinct model lines.

Gotcha....I’m just used to calling that body shell an ‘Impala’ :)
Thanks for the clarification! :D
