All in all, as one of the resident RX-8 experts, he did a pretty fair job with this video. He did a good job pointing out a good number of quirks although he missed the ‘rotors’ that are at the bottom of the front and rear bumpers.

I won't know his hate for the design of the car as I understand that it's looks are rather polarizing and I feel it was a fair 'Doug Score'. It truly is a car that you just have to drive to appreciate fully.

He is particularly tuned into style characteristics - both interior and exterior.  He picked up on the hexagon theme that lambo has been using too.  His eye seems to like cleaner lines - no style for style’s sake, unless it’s “quirky” and that’s ok too.

I want so badly to simply dismiss Doug, but his enthusiasm and tenacity deserve credibility, which I grudgingly bestow. If I could drive a Lagonda today, or a ‘76 Eldorado, I’d go over it just as thoroughly as Doug does, but I would make the effort to document it as he does.

The price of gas doesn’t matter to you, it’s just another expense like groceries and the power bill. In spite of all this, every time you braaaap past 10k RPMs, all of this disappears from your mind, because wankel is love, wankel is life.
