The Twin Mill Gen-E is the worst Hot Wheels car ever. Now hear me out...
One of the biggest things that made the original Twin Mill special and exciting was always the two big V8s sticking out of the hood:
To anyone’s inner child, nothing says “I HAS MANY HORSEPOWERS” like having two big engines protruding from the vehicle. It makes a profound visual statement and captures the imagination. When you combine that with the timeless styling of the rest of the car, it’s not hard to see why the Twin Mill is one of the most iconic Hot Wheels designs of all time.
But the Twin Mill Gen-E takes everything special about the original and ruins it. For one thing, it lacks the two engines sticking out, because electric. Without that, there’s really nothing all that special about it from a styling perspective. Which is not to say it looks terrible, it just doesn’t capture the imagination like the original did. It looks like yet another sleek fantasy sports car thing like Hot Wheels has done dozens of times before. Not only that, but even the idea of having two engines isn’t nearly as cool when applied to an electric car. Not many real cars have two V8s, but many real electric cars have two electric motors. Heck, some even have three or four! There’s nothing unusual about it, it’s perfectly normal. Therefore, the Twin Mill Gen-E takes everything special and interesting about the original and effectively renders it meaningless.
Thank you for listening to my TED talk.

And Hot Wheels knows how to make outrageous exposed-motor electric cars, as evidenced by the V

I’m guessing by the cackle and snap of those engines, it’s running on methanol.

Exactly! The least they could’ve done was make it look like it has two giant electric motors in the middle.
