Slowly starting to do the ceiling now. Got the corner done enough that I can move some stuff into its forever home. Including the longer bench and bigger heater which pumps out a LOT more heat than the little 110V unit. The outlet for the cheap drill-press and bench-grinder is in a much better place than before as well. That gives me a little more floor space back.
Insulation is a tricky beast with such a low profile roof. Can’t see it in the pic but I did the entire edge and then will get the full-size batts up there once the double row of OSB is up. That way it’s not tugging on the staples and plastic quite as much. It’s a slow annoying process and the building is not square at all so edge trim to hide some oval shaped gaps will need to happen at some point.

I like the thought of being able to screw anything into anywhere I want. Never thought about using OSB in a shed, but it makes sense. Looks good.

I’ve always thought it was odd that people use drywall in garages. Unless it’s attached and drywall is therefore required by building code, OSB is the way to go !

The only downside is dealing with gaps. With drywall you end up taping and mudding the odd bits. With wood you gotta make it up with better cuts or adding other material to cover it.

we converted a two car garage to a bedroom and used shiplap over the old overhead door. it was fast and looks great. the rest of the garage was already finished and painted drywall. i have a new metal barn that doesn’t need to be perfect and probably do what you did in just the workbench area to hang cordless things and most used hand tools. i have a ton of metal shelves for most everything else, thanks again for the pics they helped me get the vision going
