And oh my LORD do they pop. I almost feel guilty putting them on that somewhat abused pile....

Well, only one thing for it, I need to clean up the VFR totally. This is now a full restoration/resto- mod project.

mods: modern rubber/180 rear.
braided lines
LED lights
LED backlight for the dash
EBC brakes
WP rear shock (Already put in it last year)
Racetech springs and emulators up front (done at the same time as the rear shock)

Once I get the wheels and brakes done, and a new master link for the chin (I fucked it up, okay? my bad) Its carbs and on the road.

Damn. Maybe I should have painted the wheels on my focus bright white instead of battleship grey.  Those look awesome.

I need to get them ceramic coated before putting them back on the bike.

Wow. I suppose you may mount them on the bike. But no, you may not actually ride on them. You have to source another set of wheels on which you may do the actual riding part.

Powder coat, I assume? May I ask how much something like that runs?

yes, powder coated.

My guy was a bit cheaper then normal.

most PC places here charge around $300 for a single stage (color only) on a set of bike wheels.

my guy was $150 for a single, $ 200 for the 2 (color and a clear) BUT, i had to bring him the wheels already stripped (no rotors, bearings or tires) before hand.

Do i save any money? ehh. a BIT. If i took t he tire and bearing out myself, yea. But i was lazy and didnt feel like fighting the (very worn and heat cycled) dunlops on it. So it cost me $50 to strip them, and another 50 to get them re done (plus that one brake rotor bolt I broke...$3?)

Paying someone the $150 more to take care of all extras might be worth it to me.

That headlight looks strange. Is it an aftermarket fairing? I don’t remember any VFR with that headlight? Or angle of the photo?

its an older model, a 1994.

The angle makes it look a bit funny

ah, from the angle I thought it had a squarish single small headlight which I didn’t remember on an VFR.  Vs an RG
