Are the center cap thingies on racing-style wheels ‘universal’?

I ask because I might try 3D-modelling a custom one for a friend and found an existing 3D model to base it on, but wasn’t sure if most caps fit most wheels?

there are variations in hub sizes and manufacturers have different sized buttons.
