Did you purchase or build that island? I’ve been hunting for  inspiration as our kitchen desperately needs one and it cannot wait until we have the funds to redo the countertops and cabinets.

Built. It’s a 36”x 72”piece of butcher block countertop on legs built from iron pipe. It’s based on a design I did for some buffet tables I did a couple years back. My dad actually did the fabrication for me.

Here’s a picture of it sans stuff:

It’s absolutely massive in person.

I got a 55" in Feb 2019, fit snugly in the M3.

That is sizable! I like that top especially.  Thanks for sharing that, I shall be filing it away. That’s really damn close to what I’ve had in mind. We have a big kitchen but a comically small amount of counter space given the size of the room. I’m hoping to get around to it in the fall.

Nice looking apartment, I’ll be in your shoes in about a year. Once corona stops being super deadly, I want to move to Washington state. I can’t afford rent in California, and because of this have never left the “nest”. It doesn’t help matters that my grandpa keeps talking about how the world is fucked because of the virus.
