This seems like such an odd way to advertise a truck. Not truck stuff, no photo of the actual truck, just power seat controls. Big selling point there.

The fact that marketing has determined that this feature should be a “major” selling point for a model as long running as this is sad. Sad that Toyota couldn’t bother to put such a simple feature in one of its most important products until now.

Not just any power seat. A tough power seat. A seat that can move any but in any direction assuming those directions are forward or back.

Unnecessary, also, fancy seats. My 2018 has cloth

That’s great, but I just hope that manual seats are still available. Power seats are so slow.

It is a luxury feature - if this were 1985.

Power seats are luxury to me. None of the cars in the COFL fleet have them*
* the golf wagon has 50% power seats. Manual sliding with a power backrest. It makes no sense.

Toyota has been using that seat switch for like twenty years now.

huh...that “prototype” looks exactly like the seats in my ‘07 Tundra. So, yes, a prototype from 13 years ago

I prefer automatic seats simply because I can put them in whatever position I want instead of the indexed positions you get with manual seats. In all my previous cars I find myself in between settings but in the Corolla I can dial it in exactly where I want it.

I still find it hilarious that a 50+ year old military truck has become the best Mercedes for showing people you have f you money.

People have complained about seat height in the Taco for years. Maybe the power seat will help.

Not the tracks, but the recline ratchet in my 3rd gen 4Runner had way too coarse an adjustment. It was either back too far or too upright. Drove me nuts. Electric would have solved that.

The thing about wearing masks is that from the start, we’ve been told that the masks keep the cooties in. So when you choose not to wear the mask, you put others at risk.
