You get to assemble a 3 car garage. A ll the cars must be brand new on sale today from dealers. The only catch: they can’t currently be sold in your market. Only forbidden fruit is allowed.
My Pick 1: Alpine A110S.
The most gorgeous small sports car on the market, and one that’s an equal to the Cayman in performance.
Pick 2: Peugeot 508 SW GT
A great looking wagon with decent performance.
Pick 3: Suzuki Jimny
It’s adorable and should be a good time for some light off-roading
Runner up:
Škoda Superb Estate Sportline Plus
I’d just as happily take this over the 508, but it’s a VAG product on a platform we already get, so the Peugeot felt more true to the idea.

Honda S660 (I’ve long had a fondness for small Hondas)
Suzuki Jimny. (I know it’s unoriginal to copy you, but I think you’re spot on with it)
Dacia Sandero (because I'm odd like that sometimes)

2/3 from you for sure
“SVEND Special” Skoda Wagon

The fastest available BMW 1 hatch also with 3 pedals

Can you get the new Stratos in the USA? If you can I’m stealing your alpine A110.

The RS6
The DS5 hybrid
The Fiata or the Alpine.

Tough for me, since I dont follow much in the way of brand new non usdm cars, but I would be loathe not to mention the new morgan plus six
![]() 05/20/2020 at 13:13 |

I mean, the “new stratos” is a coachbuilt thing cobbled together from F430 bits. Otherwise, yeah the Ranger Raptor looks neato.
![]() 05/20/2020 at 13:15 |

Alpine over Fiata all day every day. Not that I dislike the 124, but the Alpine is in a different league.

I totally agree, it's just that the manual sways me heavily

hmm, I think I would go with a HDJ200 GX-GNMAZ
4.5liter v8 turbo diesel Manual LHD
Honda E
Lotus Exige

G400d - these need to be diesel, no AMG please:
E400d wagon - these also need to have a diesel variant here:
And something completely opposite yet similar to the G:

I forgot about the Yaris GR, that's a good choice for a forbidden stateside hot hatch..

Extremely solid choices

I hate to disappoint but the fastest Audi wagon you can get with a stick anywhere in the world is likely some base model petrol or diesel with a 0-60 time in the 10 second range. As far as I know, there are no stick shift S or RS wagons available at all.

1. Fun practical car:
I thought about a Citroen Berlingo passenger van but I just couldn’t find anything I liked from the brand, which is a shame. I tried to option a Skoda Superb but I couldn’t get it in a fun color in performance trim and with a manual on the configurator. I couldn’t get the Peugeot wagon with a manual either. I think I am going to have to go with a Soul Red Mazda6 wagon with the skyactive-D motor to get the 6 speed. Kind of a boring interior though. I loved the Skoda’s dark brown on black on tan interior option.
2. Fun sporty car: Man I wish Holden still sold a Ute. I’m going to go with a true hot hatch that we don’t get here. There are lots of options but I think I’ll go with the Megane RS.
3. Weekend car: “ Renault” Alpine A110 . Yes this is blatant theft.
![]() 05/20/2020 at 13:19 |
|
Same. If the Alpine had a stick it’d truly be perfect, much like the new Supra.
![]() 05/20/2020 at 13:21 |
|
I approve of these choices. Love the Megane especially.
![]() 05/20/2020 at 13:21 |

I thought they still sold the Loaf Van.
![]() 05/20/2020 at 13:22 |

The GR is definitely a tempting option. Maybe better than the Jimny on my list.

Ick, seems like new cars are trash everywhere now.
![]() 05/20/2020 at 13:24 |

1. Toyota Crown RS 2.0T (because there are no V6s available on Goo-Net)
2 . S660 (I’d be buying one if they ever brought it over to the US anyway)
3. 70 series Land Cruiser

I’m british, what is forbidden fruit?
Well I suppose a
Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat (they don’t sell them here technically)
A Fiat 124 spider (they stopped selling them here)
Toyota 4Runner TRD (because I cant have a Defender I’ll go for similar and not sold in U.K.)
Amazingly did a garage without anything british built in it for once... I feel weird, like somethings missing...

Lancia Ypsilon
Hyundai I30 N
Cupra Leon Sportst ourer

Second the Alpine, probably the classic blue in my case
Skoda Octavia vRS iV (plug-in hybrid) estate
Fiat Panda 4x4, all the SUV you need
Hono rable mention: VW Up GTI
![]() 05/20/2020 at 13:43 |

I mean, the other two cars are autos... Maybe I could change that RS6 for an S6 diesel (sold in europe I think?) and get the Alpine and a Cayman 4.0... because of course my only solution is to make my garage more expensive.
![]() 05/20/2020 at 13:43 |
|
1) a Citroen Saxo
2) a Renault Clio
3) a Peugeot 206
![]() 05/20/2020 at 13:44 |

Dang I forgot about the I30 N. The hardest part of this was trying to find a substitute for the Veloster N. Never heard of the Cupra, but it looks cool.
![]() 05/20/2020 at 13:44 |

You could technically have that garage legally. Lucky.

I couldn’t find a way to shoehorn in the Honda e in my picks, but man that is a good looking and fun car.

Cupra is just the performance brand of SEAT. It looks like they sel l it as a different m ake kind of like how Abarth is split from Fiat in other markets.

The loaf is sold as the UAZ “Classic” . Still exists per the manufacturer site:

Just checked, in France the only Audi wagon with a manual is the A4 35 TFSI (150hp).
![]() 05/20/2020 at 14:15 |

Well the 124 is technically cheating, but the other two are impossible to find this side of the pond for a reasonable amount of money
![]() 05/20/2020 at 14:29 |

I’ll have that one. I couldn’t find the UAZ Russian site for some reason.

Basic Caterham 160! We don’t have these in Croatia.
Then
I wanna buy a ranch and wear cowboy hats and pay 2000 dollars for cough medicine!
And then I’m stealing the Century idea, to get some class back, which glass packs lack. Sry.
![]() 05/20/2020 at 14:31 |

Yes, the new S4 and S6 are the 3.0 TDI with a single variable geometry turbo + an electric compressor in Europe.
And driving in the Alps, i would still prefer the DCT to a manual on the Alpine but i can understand the appeal of a manual on faster roads .
![]() 05/20/2020 at 14:34 |

Ah, I looked at SEAT so I should have recognized it. I'm quite surprised you want a Ypsilon.
![]() 05/20/2020 at 14:38 |

Oddly enough it doesn’t seem to immediately come up in a google search, but it works manually:

I mean, it’s not a very realistic garage, it’s not like I have access to an alp or even a sierra to have fun on any of those.

Easy.
Honda S660
Alpina D3 Touring
Spyker C8 Preliator

I’d go
1. LC70 double cab for hunting and hauling work
2. RS6 avant for family duty
3. KTM X-bow for fun times

Easy Peasy Lemony Squeez y :
1. Ford Ranger Raptor
2. Audi RS4 Avant
3. Lotus Exige

$2000 is an inordinate amount to pay for even a bed full of cough syrup. Just how many ranch hands aren't on the mend? Is that what you think of America as? Think 15 year old clapped Silverado on massive chrome wheels weaving through traffic. That's much more realistic.

Because we can have almost everything in Europe and i am not interested in a pickup...
SAIPA Zamyad/Nissan Z24 pickup
... i n the end i found a pickup i would want :)

I gotta admit I forgot about it. A very solid choice, also gets some electric variety in the stable as well. Nice.

If I'd remembered the Caterham 160 that'd have been in my list too. It looks like one of those cars that could be quite fun and engaging at any speed..

Lotus Exige Cup 430 - because it looks amazing
Toyota LC79 4.5 Diesel V8 - because who wouldn’t want one?
Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio with a Manual - that sound and the right transmission

1. Dacia Sandero Access (white)
2. Datsun GO+ (brown)
3. Lada Vesta (would need to convert to RHD) (green)

You can have the Superb as a regular car,
or lifted Superb Scout.
