I want an aftermarket but period-correct slip on for my FZR and these are my two top choices-
Aside from the paint and the faded badge, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! looks like it’s in pretty good shape. I was planning on repainting the headers on my Hawk next winter anyway so I’d kill two birds with one stone.
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! looks a little better and is a bit cheaper, but it has some questionable welds before the muffler. I’m a little more inclined to get this also as there was a V&H special edition of my bike which came with the same one.
Any strong opinions/ advice either way?

Much like people. You should make decisions based on what is inside.
Would you pull a muffler out of the dumpster behind an auto repair shop? Or buy one one ebay somebody else did?

The whole bike was essentially pulled out of a dumpster, so it’d be pretty on-brand. Point taken though, both listings are very light on details. I figure they can only be as neglected as the current one I’ve got though...

Both choices are wrong. You need an SC Project. Evidence:

I’m partial to Yoshimura.
Depending on the muffler, you can probably get a replacement badge and you can definitely get the rivets, etc.

Run what ya brung.
Tough call, I’d personally avoid paying real money on part + shipping. Maybe put up an ad on CL looking for a cheap donor can. Then ride whatever fixes you’ve made back into the ground until it no longer entertains. Those builds can be a lot of fun with none of the guilt.

God that Hawk is nice... I’ve gotta get a video of the TBR exhaust on mine one of these days, it sounds angry
