This has been 18,000 hard miles over the course of 1 year and 3 months, 5 of those were on jackstands.
Coolant crossover pipe disintegrated
Its still not working right when you get on boost, but it still runs.....with a little coaxing
After getting the car together a few months back the fuel pressure started to become an issue on startup. These engines run a hpfp around 700psi at idle and it was making about 70psi. These pumps fail commonly so I bought a new one, same problem. Spent most of that time trying to find the problem eventually figuring out that the brand new pump never worked in the first place.
Right now the car is running, but not very well on its original hpfp. It requires a little rpm on startup or it won’t pressurize the system and will stall out, and any load that creates more then 8psi of boost will cause misfires across all cylinders.(its a tiny turbo so 8psi is mid load in any gear) in the meantime -another- hpfp is on the slowboat from china, hopefully that one works.

Sounds like you are on the road to recovery. Is the new pump OEM?
