I love Urals. I see them on Craigslist fairly often, and if I could get a version without the side car.... It would be hard to resist!

My exact problem as well. I’d love a Brutale, but that feels more like a 5th or 6th bike.

I love the design of the current Monster, and the Brutale feels like a Monster on steroids

Do you recall what they generally go for in your area? About all I ever see are new bikes unfortunately. The sidecar and 2wd would be a requirement for me to be interested.

I saw one used locally, but the guy was basically asking the same as a brand new one.

I’ve actually seen them advertised without the sidecar. It’s called the solo.

Not much as of right now , but I generally see a few in the $5k area. The side car is cool but I think if I had a 2wd bike I’d have to take it through every windy fire road I could find!

I spoke to someone that took a Ural to a local off-road park, and that’s one of the things that appeals to me.

I don’t have access to forest service roads that you do, but I have some private areas that I could ride. My in-laws have a bunch of interconnected farms not far away, and several of the land owners have created several miles of trails for atv’s between them that I could use.

Sadly my profit share bonus will be down next year from normal. I would really consider buying some sort of toy out west and bringing it home given the chance.
