Wild. I read somewhere earlier today he’d been offered another two-year contract there.

Yeah, but just like at Red Bull, when the younger gun shows up, Vettel seems to run.

I dunno, Ferrari seems like a bit of a shit show. It’s like Williams but with money.

I don’t follow motorsport, but in most sports a 2-year extension would be insultingly short? Is that the case here?

That’d surprise me. The writing’s been on the wall for awhile now.
Totally unrelated, I went to check to see if the prison bridge was open over the weekend. On both sides it had a temporary sign (like, the fabric kind that’s up when road work is going on) saying it was closed. My brother lives off Robious, so next time I visit him I’ll check it out again from the Powhatan side.

It’s not what he wanted, but in Vettel’s case, he hasn’t really performed up to his past levels recently, having choked in 2018 and making some weird mistakes last year, and his teammate getting a long-term extension recently signifies that Ferrari is planning to build around him.

It’s not too terribly insulting. A two year is common and a few folks are on year to year, but it’s definitely not the 5-year contract his teammate got.
