Did you drop an application at least? I don’t think I’d be able to leave.

I may be a BMW guy now, but Porsches have really grown on me over the past few years. I want that 930.

DAMN! That Alfa Giulietta Spider is gorgeous, also HOLY SHIT AN ALFA MONTREAL.
Porsche 356s are awesome. I’m not a fan of modern Porsche as much, but the classic 911 is very cool....I think the 356 series is my favorite Porsche though...
Did you have time to chat and look around for a few? :)
Ask them if they are looking for any employees, haha!

I hope you remembered where this place was. And to request all deliveries to this address in the future. That’s one heck of a shop when arguably worst car in there is an Alfa Montreal

Ah I love that feeling when the door opens and there is so much more than you would expect . Man, that is one serious garage. Even the most jaded enthusiast can find something to like in there.
Are they accepting applications for test drivers?

There is a <1000 population conference center town attached to my <10000 population town, and every year they have a Fourth of July parade. One year, I was up there with the Scouts, and COUNTACH OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE.
They’re tricksy little devils.

I had a similar experience a month ago. Completely nondescript warehouse in a rural industrial area that upon entering was filled with automotive heaven. Unfortunately the guy who came up to receive the delivery didn't seem to want to chat :/

I could be completely wrong here, but the tail on that Countach looks wrong. It definitely looks like the famous Lambo V12 is in the bay, but something about the back end is just OFF. I was also ready to yell “KIT CAR!” when I saw the interior shot, based off of other interiors I’ve seen, but when you consider that the Countach was in production for what, almost 20 years...and probably varied drastically from year to year with interior fit and finish.
I've seen a couple of Countaches in the flesh, and SO MANY PHOTOS (and posters, of course). That rear "bumper"...it's just bugging me so much. Can anyone clear it up for me?

I think it's just the angle I caught it at, this one's definitely the real deal. Even used to be part of the collection at a sizable car museum before the museum closed

Some Countaches have flush taillights and some are recessed like the car in your photo. Not sure if it’s a model difference or just a different year, although the older ones seem to have the flush lights.

That is the US market 5mph impact bumper. I haven’t seen one in ages.
There is another picture where you can see the front impact bumper. Ugly for sure.

That is the correct Federalized bumper/cover added over the taillights. Also has the correct mega wide rear Pirelli P7s

Here’s my Western MA stumbling into car heaven story. In 2016 I bought a 19 65 Oldmobile 98 Convertible that needed rear seat belts because I have kids . I went to my local vintage auto shop in Hadley to talk about installing rear lap belts. When I pull into the parking lot, there is what appeared to be a 1930s Bentley in the parking lot and three guys look at the engine compartment. One of the guys looked like a mechanic from the 50s with a white t shirt, dungarees and grease all over his hands and part of his face. I approached the Bentley and no one paid any attention to me so I walked in to the shop to see if I can find anyone to talk to. I nside the garage (large metal prefab building with 3 or 4 lifts) I see all of these open air old race cars on stands in various states of repair/restoration. But then out of the corner of my eye I see something I can’t believe . As I get closer, the more and more it’s apparent this was the real deal. While I’m in awe of the car, the owner of the shop comes by and we star t talking about the lap belts for the 98. We agree on a style of belts and that he’ll call me when he gets the belts in so I can drop off the car. I then asked him to tell me more about the cars in the garage. He tells me most of the cars are Allards and he restores them. He explained their history and what he does to restore them. Then I asked him about the car that caught my eye and I ask him if it’s real. He says it’s an all aluminum, all original 1965 Shelby Cobra. His client hadn’t driven it since 1978 and wanted to get it back to working condition. The client asked the shop owner what he thinks it’s worth “ like $ 200,000?”. The shop owner looked the the guy straight in the eyes and said he should get a company to appraise it asap. The appraisal came back at $ 850,000 in it’s current shape which was in pieces. It was probable worth $ 1.2 million once he got it running and maybe more today . Unfortunately , the shop owner had cancer and sold the the shop and it’ s now a auto body place. Crazy what we have here in the Valley.
