These are

about the Mexican holiday, which is actually a bigger deal in the US than it is in Mexico.
!!! UNSUPPORTED LINE BREAK IN HEADER !!!
Cinco = 5. de Mayo = of May. So, May 5.
!!! UNSUPPORTED LINE BREAK IN HEADER !!!
Cinco de Mayo.

*Sigh. On Cinco de Mayo.

We’ve been through this already.
!!! UNSUPPORTED LINE BREAK IN HEADER !!!
There was no Cinco de Mayo war.
The holiday celebrates !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! on May 5, 1862. It was a relatively minor battle — the French reclaimed Puebla a year later — but a symbolic one because a small Mexican army defeated a larger occupying force. By 1867, Mexican troops had driven France from the country.
Taco Tuesday coincides with Cinco de Mayo
Many Americans assume Cinco de Mayo is Mexico’s Independence Day. It’s not. That holiday falls on September 16 and commemorates the Grito de Dolores, a priest’s ringing of a church bell in the town of Dolores in 1810 that triggered Mexico’s War of Independence from Spain.

No. Día de Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a three-day holiday in which families across Mexico gather to remember deceased friends and family members. It’s usually held from October 31 to November 2.

Wherever you want it to be. If your party game is strong, Cinco de Mayo could even be a state of mind.

A recent survey shows that about 30% of Americans believe there is already a COVID-19 vaccine that is being deliberately withheld, 45% believe in ghosts, and 18% plan on winning the lottery to fund retirement. So, yeah these search terms track pretty well.

I don’t think any of us are unaware at this point! Even the POTUS is in that category. I don’t have a lot of faith in people anymore, when we have truly intelligent people that can’t do anything because of the hoards of morons saying they are lying... I don’t know...

I mean, if I don’t win the lottery I can’t retire so that sounds like a reasonable goal to me.

I can guarantee a large portion of US citizens cannot accurately describe what the 4th of July celebrates, other than just it being “independence day”. Most gun nuts think the Bill of Rights goes back to 1776.

Yeah I’ve seen pics of 1776 with older flags and guns on shirts or whatever with the geniuses at rallies.

You can’t fix stupid, it is true.
