I mean, yeah. Aside from the electrics.
The carbs.
The gauges.
The ability of the engine to contain its fluids internally.

Other than the seat height there is no fault I can find with it. Your garage is obviously used enough to repair stuff the joke had a chance to work.

How much is the Duc costing you this week?

Well it was also $1500. FWIW I rode it home and enjoyed it for a while while the mediocre charging system slowly killed the battery, then I realized it would mysteriously die if I beat on it for 10 minutes or so. Turns out someone lined the inside of the tank and covered up the ~1mm hole that the tank vents through. So I stripped out the liner and re-lined it, then replaced the amazingly crap stock rectifier and wiring with new 12-gauge automotive wiring and a Yamaha R1 MOSFET-type regulator. New battery later this week.

Also not the bike’s fault but some idiot removed the airbox lid, put on a K&N filter, and FBF CF exhausts but doesn’t appear to have re-jetted the carbs because the bike feels... nippy, but not as fast as it should be. I have a 49 tooth rear sprocket but if I’m in 2nd I can thwack the throttle wide open and the front tire stays on terra firma.

Oh and the tacho drive is dumb. And the whole way the front end goes together is dumb. And the transmission is like shifting gravel. It’s a dumb stupid pile of agricultural equipment on two wheels but I love it so damn much.

Since I stopped riding it last month I’ve spent:

$100 in acetone to remove the old tank liner
$50 in Red Kote to re-line the tank
$100 battery

Before that it was $90 or so to completely re-vamp the charging system and $40 for a new-old-stock tachometer drive cable.

I have short legs, lol. Not sure why the seat is tilted aft, though. It was like that when I bought it and I haven’t really cared enough to change it. I don’t spend much time on the seat when I’m at the trails anyways.
