Definitely worth a watch - 70 laps of the Indy loop. There was a lot of close racing, and it’s nice that I can laugh at horrendous accidents instead of wondering if I just watched someone die.
I can’t wait for real racing to return but damn, Indycar has done a great job with this iRacing stuff.

Absolutely agree. What I find to be interesting is that the I racing is broadcasting the “TV” coverage views. My point is is I racing has to be realistic for the participants but who and why did they make visuals realistic for spectators?
What I loved was all the different track shots that were the same or better than a real televised race. For example who decides what shots and what cars are being broadcast. Is there a real director for the broadcast and are there real photographers picking what to follow? Or is this all computerized and broadcast based on rules?
PS - another win for I racing is you don’t get 20 minute breaks for yellow flags !

I was cracking up when they p anned to the one accident and two cars were STILL cartwheeling down the track. I do wish it was a bit easier for them to know who was involved in something but they put this together really well.

That was fun to watch, but it has m e feeling melancholy about the actual race this year. This will be the first memorial day weekend I'll be at home, since I was 14 (which was 1996).
