Kinja'd!!!

Like when I’m driving on the road, I keep my shopping cart to the right. Some woman gets all pissy when we go to pass each other, slamming her cart into mine and blurting out ‘asshole!’ as she goes by since I guess I’m where she wanted to be. Who’s the asshole? I’m just trying to keep traffic moving smoothly, thank you. Years in customer service has taught me not to react to this crap but I wish these obnoxious people would go crawl under the rock from whence they came.

I’m OK with this whole lockdown/social distancing thing. The less I have to interact with the ignorant  general public the better. The idea of returning to work someday does not hold a great deal of interest to me...

I sort of feel like people should be restricted to the short double-decker shopping carts until they can show the proper skill and responsibility for a real one. And I’m absolutely not making exceptions for Costco, those people are the WORST.

You know she drives her car (likely some dumb CUV) just as poorly.

I might  have responded with one of Carlin’s forbidden words.

I was thinking that she drives her (dented, dirty)  CUV the same way. I responded back with “Thanks! Right back at you!” which was a little more aggressive than I normally would do.

You ever been to Sam’s? It’s Walmart for those that can scrape up $35 for membership, with all class that this kind of fiscal responsibility  entails. Costco is a dream in comparison, in my experience, with a more reasonable crowd, but I guess it depends on the neighborhood.

I I won't lie, when someone acts like this in public anymore I'm really tempted to drop my mask and start faking a coughing fit. Directly on them.

Exactly! I wish this behavior ca me naturally to more people (in countries where we drive on the right side of the road, anyway).

No turn signals, probably blows straight through traffic circles without yielding, or treats them as a 4-way stop

Also camps out in the left lane with a phone to her ear even though her car has bluetooth.

I have not, because I can’t bring myself to PAY to shop with the People of Walmart. I only use the free version once every couple years in sheer desperation.

Exactly. And ‘People of Walmart’ includes the (useless) employees, although many of them might be good but they’re hamstrung by cheap/incompetent management.

I split a Sam’s membership with a co-worker a couple of years ago and it made me really appreciate Costco. The caliber of the average shopper at Costco is so much more pleasant; not always perfect, but better that what you deal with at Sam’s IM O.
