FRIDAY!!!!

Today, I’m planning to take pictures of big bombers flying over my house. I’m just hoping the special battery for the camera that hasn’t been used in a while will take a charge before the flyover.

Reminds me of when we accidentally went to a locals’ night at a bar on Maui. White kids like me were probably most unwelcome, but we didn’t realize it was Locals Only until we’d had a beer at the bar . When we walked out , there were a bunch of huge Hawaiians standing around my jeep like that - but probably only because it was parked right out front. At least it wasn’t a rental car, and it looked local... maybe that elevated me slightly above tourist? Anyway they let me in my car without a fuss - it was just a convenient leaning post - but I was momentarily terrified.

One of the funny things about this strip is it’s one of only a handful that name-check a brand name, and I can’t think of any others offhand that mention a specific brand of car. There have got to be one or two more, I just can’t remember them.
