A few places are now making hand sanitizer that don’t normally make it, including breweries and distilleries.

will start selling the Chemical Guys sanitizer starting 5/15

Water, alcohol and ammonia makes a good sanitizer. Say 2 parts water, 1 part alcohol and 1 part ammonia. Don’t like ammonia...skip it. Isopropyl alcohol and water. Cant find Iso, try denatured...it’s more aggressive so use less.

my one piece of advice... careful with raw alcohol (iso or denatured) on p lastics (especially in automotive uncoated plastics in my experience) as they can leave a white film which is caused by the plasticiz er s being drawn out iirc. the minor mix with water seems to do ok. Always test textiles and plastics in inconspicuous spots before going whole hog.

Some of the distilleries in Scotland are making it (Brewdog, Leith’s Gin, etc...) , some have stopped all other production to make hand sanitiser to give away to people who need it.
