The Clio will replace the Peugeot 106 S16! And my... what a hoot! Much quicker than the Peugeot and so much more exiting than the Megane... The Megane is in paint now, to fix some coating issue and it will be for sale soon after for around 3500€ shipped to any port. Both are proper quick.. The Megane is quicker... But that Clio... So much more exiting!

Awesome! I think I would take the Clio over the Megane as I like smaller cars, but both awesome!
There you are halfway around the world in Japan...and you’re buying French cars :P

Well, I have other Japanese toys to play with through work... When it comes to personal cars, while I still keep the RX7, the other cars are most likely to remain foreign (Currently the Delta, the Peugeot, The Clio and the Megane... “ yeah!” to owning 5 cars in a country like Japan haha)

Yes! I am impressed you find space to park them all, let along can afford to park them all, haha! How is the Delta doing? I would say it’s the apple of my eye from your current fleet! :)

Interesting! I remember reading reviews of the Clio 172 in whatever british car mags i could get a hold of (i’m American) but its good to know the hype was real!
I wish we had French cars here, for some reason i have a weird love for F rench hot hatches. I really really really want a 106 Rallye with the 306 Rallye being a close second for me. Obviously stuff like the Clio Williams are up there too, but I assume those are rare enough to be pretty unobtainable.

The Delta is queued behind the Megane and the RX7 when it comes to work getting done on it. It runs and all but still needs lots of little work done on it. I tried it a little, in spite of all the oil dripping from the cam cover gasket onto the turbo, and it pulls hard! It’s gonna be exciting :)
And they are parked an hour away from my place at a friend's warehouse. That's why I manage fairly easily...

It’s as fun as they probably said it was! Top Gear review of it is very accurate. This is the 182, but mine is pretty much the same...

3500€ shipped, thats damn cheap if its in good condition
, even a RHD would be more expensive here in France.

Pour la France t'as quand même l'import a rajouter... Environ 1500 euros total. Et c'est bien une LHD.

Indeed, it wouldnt be the most logical thing to (re
)import it to France but
even with the taxes i would still be a good price for it if its in good shape (the cheapest LHD in LeBonCoin is at 5100€
and the
non gray or black starts
around 6500€
)
.

And that one has 145.000km... not 200.000+km like the cheapest ones you’ll find.

Lucky bugger! Assuming the Clio and Megane will be two more ‘keep and enjoy them for awhile and then sell them on’ cars again? :)
On a weird question note....I assume all the exporter folks you know are in Japan, but you don’t know of any trustworthy folks or companies that do exports in Europe, do you? :)

Well, it seems you are finding ways to stay busy at home. :)

Yeah the Megane will be for sale quickly... The Clio I’ll keep for a few months. As for exporting to Europe, I do it often myself. I can and do export cars all around the world, it’s no different than shipping to the states. As a matter of fact, my Peugeot 106 S16 is going to a well-known Opponaut in the netherlands :)

There’s no confinement here so I don’t really have to stay home. I try to though.

Oh, cool! Also, I think I worded my previous comment a bit terribly
:P
What I meant to be asking was: Do you know anybody that does exports FROM Europe, haha! Sorry for my poor wording.
I’m hoping to import a kei vehicle of some kind from Japan at some point down the road...probably as truck as it seems like it would be a practical little thing to have on hand once and awhile!
...but the first thing I want to import is a FIAT 126p from Poland (I already have the money saved up, I just have nowhere to store it yet, so haven’t really looked into importing one yet).
Was just curious if you knew anybody trustworthy in Europe that looks for and exports vehicles for folks there as I could get a 126p straight from Poland for far cheaper than if I were to export one from elsewhere.
:)

No I don’t know anyone... But I’ve seen a couple here for sale before... Granted they are usually pretty nice and not really cheap, but the ease of export from Japan probably compensates what you'll pay extra to get it out of Poland...

Wait, they didn’t include your area in the general emergency - ‘please stay home, we’d like to make you, but we can’t actually do that legally; so we’ll just shut down the pachinko parlors and then everyone will just stay home’
We’re staying home because most everything fun for our son is closed. And even more so with Golden week. This afternoon t he big park up the mountain had security telling everyone it was closed because of Golden week. Cue disappointed 4 year old, and a drive back to the little park near our home.

Yeah, I’ve seen several for sale in Japan too, but as nice as they are, the prices are a LOT more expensive there. Actually the shipping costs from Poland aren’t bad, I was told an estimate of $650-$1000 awhile back for the shipping side of things (excluding import fees, etc when it arrives in Canada).
