No, this isn’t Farscythe’s refrigerator. It’s mine, and sadly, none of this beer is for me. Our high school band is starting its online auction fund raiser tomorrow (it was supposed to be a pancake breakfast and silent auction, but coronavirus had other plans), and a local brewery, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , donated four cases to the cause. Since the beer isn’t pasteurized, it has to be kept cold, which required a bit of rearranging in our garage fridge. Thirsty Goat is an American-style amber ale, while the Spot On Pils is a seasonal Czech-style  pilsner. I may have to bid on some of this myself. I’d really like to try the pils.

Had a nice chat with the owner. Really nice guy, who is very supportive of the local community and donates often to many causes. Check them out if you get a chance.

(and then i’d still turn up for work bright and chipper..... well...i’d turn up anyway....probably tell everyone to fuck off and leave me alone...but same difference)

I’m not sure what constitutes a case on Thirsty Planet, but from the looks of your refrigerator, some fortuitous misunderstanding could land in your favor...

Hell yeah, great beer. Glad to see they’re good folks, too. I really, really liked their Dance Pants release a little while ago. Bought it for the name (also, it sounded good), enjoyed the hell out of it.

Owner was real good people. Talked about how he grew from one van that he basically lived in while promoting his beer to his big place down on South Congress south of William Cannon. We asked him the value of the cases, and he said $20.75. That must be wholesale, because it’s at least twice that at HEB. I’m going to bet full value for the case of pils as soon as the auction opens. Even at full value, it’s a fantastic deal.

I drank some of the Spot On pils last night. VERY good.
