Not many news sources talked about it today, or maybe it’ll hit the automotive circuit tomorrow. For those who don’t know, it’s was his sketch in 1962 that was chosen to become the original Ford Mustang. He is the original designer of the car.
I got to meet him at a local Mustang and Ford Performance meeting when I first bought my Mustang in 2016. Such a cool guy with stories to tell about Ford back in the day. Both he, and Carl Widmann (Mustang Chief Engineer at that time) signed under the hood of the car, and it’s still there today.
What a life, and a timeless legacy.

Thanks for that. Never heard of him, nor CW. When you have a personality like Lee Iacocc a I guess you pretty much suck up all the attention on to yourself. People like Iacocca and Musk gather up all the attention. You have to figure there are a few Halderma n’s and Widman n s a t Tesla now designing and making things work.
What a great time th e 60's was for the automotive industry and what a lasting treasure o f a design that Mustang is. It will always be with us.
