OK, my throat is sore from screaming in frustration. I bought a $3 game and then found a better version a few minutes later combined with another game for $6 (the other game was $6 by itself, so it made sense to buy the bundle even though I didn’t know what the price was until I went through multiple steps to get the damn thing in my shopping cart so I could see the fucking price)
. All I want to do is return the original $3 purchase since I bought the same game (with tons of DLC) again
a few minutes later.
No option to return it. No option to communicate with a human. I find a few email addresses, but they all reject the messages. I can’t find any chat option. The customer service phone number goes through a whole spiel about how they can’t do jack shit and then hangs up on you.
Some time ago I must have changed the password on my Amazon account and none of the ones I try seem to work. Every time I need to do something I have to go through a series of Captchas and questions and get a one-time password, even when trying to go to my account settings so that I can change my fucking password.
But everytime I do this, regardless of where I want to go, I get an error saying that the page I want doesn’t exist. WTF? It doesn’t matter what page I go to I get the same answer. I logged out, and now I can’t log back in even after jumping through all of the hoops.
Is it me or are they having website issues? Are they overwhelmed right now or are they just pricks? I cancelled the one order I placed after the stay at home order and have been doing most of my buying on eBay, and, TBH, I don’t really miss Amazon and I suspect that many others will feel the same way when this is all over. Fuck the fucking fuckers. Fuck.

During COVID19, I’ve ordered three things off Amazon. Two items had the orders canceled a week later, and the third item was supposed to ship three weeks ago and hasn’t even left wherever it’s from. No reply and no cancelation yet. Oh well.

Like a lot of people , Amazon doesn’t seem to be adapting well to this new world. Everyone blissfully going along saying that everything will be fine, until it isn’t, a nd then they have no clue what to do.

I fill your pain. I pre ordered a pc game on Amazon that was released today. It hasn’t shipped from where ever they store the disc. As of me writing this, the game’s been out for almost 24 hours.

FWIW, I’ve had zero problems with anything ordered from Amazon since this started. Some items were listed with long lead times, but got to me much quicker than promised.
This is most assuredly not been true with other online retailers I’ve purchased from.
It’s easy to imagine that the situation varies wildly though. And of course, I wouldn’t be shocked if 3rd party Amazon sellers (especially those who don’t use Amazon for fulfillment) are a mess.

No, it’s not just you. They actually REMOVED a bunch of the previ ously existing return functionality since we entered Covid Times... The generous person would say “they don’t have enough customer service reps to handle it all...” but it is important to notice that return/ refund options that used to be automatic, handled by the computer, have also been removed. Also, RETURNs on physical items are still available, which means they have receiving staff checking returns... *ALSO* return/refund windows have NOT bee n extended. All in all it appears Amazon has taken this opportunity to fuck it's customers intentionally. I am more and more glad I we ditched Prime this year.

if it makes you feel any better, I bought the standard edition hoping I wouldn’t have to deal with the EA Origin client. I was wrong.
also, I recently refinanced my place and the interest rates dropped a not-insignificant amount the day after it closed. talk about heartburn ...
