Got bored last night and remembered I have a drone and should use it more. I got it some time last year and since then have only flown it roughly 30 minutes. So I drove out to a fairly popular spot along the coast here for sunset and flew for about 10-15 minutes, just getting familiar with all the controls and camera operation again. I really like the top-down photography a lot of people do with drones, the pics usually make for good wallpapers. So tried to do one of those as well.
Need some more practice and if I end up enjoying this I’ll probably sink too much money into it because I’m already annoyed by the still picture quality of the DJI Mavic Pro.
Also, pic of the sunset:
Next time I’ll include a car pic as well.

I’ve got a Phantom 3 that I haven’t flown in a couple of years. I tried to get it going again a month ago, but the software wouldn’t sync. I need to try again this week.

I do enjoy it but need more practice to use it to even part of the full potential. You can get some beautiful aerial video shots and pictures. The picture part is especially fun as it is basically looking for good composition from the air :).

I just picked up a mavic air myself, I've been flying it a lot but I don't really have that "eye" for photography. Right now my best shot honestly could have been done just using the drone as a gimbal.

I’ve broken mine out lately, too. I’d been too busy/wether was bad/excuses etc for a year.
It’s just a Spark, so nothing fancy, but I’ve remembered how much fun it is to fly it.
Last week was my daughter’s 7th birthday, and I drew a big birthday card in our alley, and left out chalk so our awesome neighbors could contribute as they saw fit. At the end of the day, I took a video of my daughter standing in the middle of the biggest, brightest birthday card, waving to everyone.
It was a big hit.
