Not only that, but there’s an impending carbon dioxide shortage, as well.

I’m trying to do my part, but there’s only so much beer one man can drink!

You can still carbonate things the old fashioned way - with yeast.

We use carbon dioxide at two of our three facilities at work. The third facility had a process change where it’s no longer required, but we still have 22,000lbs on site. We’re trying to see if we can get someone to recover the unused CO2 in that tank to use at the other facilities incase the availability drops off.

It doesn’t help that there’s really only 1 distributor in our area, and they’re a pain to deal with at the best of times.

Of course, but l arge breweries aren’t going to switch over to natural conditioning.

Are you somewhere served only by either Airgas or Praxair, but not both, or a much smaller compressed gas supplier?

Unfortunately we are at the mercy of Airgas.

Huh, I’ve had nothing but easy dealings with them in the Seattle area (wineries use a fair bit of nitrogen, not so much CO2 unless you’re making sparkling wines). That said, Praxair was my go-to when our on-site nitrogen generator shit the bed, and it was faster/cheaper to have them install a microbulk N2 tank on site. Airgas couldn’t match the tech at the time.

We have had issues with Airgas just not showing up on days when deliveries are scheduled, taking close to a week to even respond to calls, and they screwed up the billing information, and it took over a year to get it corrected.

With the closing of liquor stores and the insane 6' spaced lines wrapping outside the grocery stores, so glad local brewery seems to have plenty of canned beer and great takeout! Blessed again!

Ugh, that sucks. But with a company that size, I guess it shouldn’t be surprising that some branches are less competent/responsive than others.

The restaurant I work at gave all our beer away a few weeks ago. Couldn’t sell it so they let it go with a BOY bottle and we’ll fill it promotion for pick up orders.
