I present the Auburn 852. Our progress continues to amaze and impress me. Despite having just broken the 5 Oppoflop barrier I find that I’m still in 12th place, although given that #11 hasn’t posted any credits since the 22nd I think I should be able to leap into that position  by morning.

My 1080 has been getting some big jobs lately; I think the last one was close to 200K. It is getting a little toasty in that room, but I’m ready to fire up the A/C if necessary. And, if I decide to go a little crazy, I might bring another system or two online this weekend, although I am running short on GPUs; the Hackintosh may need to temporarily donate parts to the cause unless I find a good deal online.

We are really kicking some butt, I’ll be bringing something bigger and better online in the next week, maybe I’ll actually catch up to that #1 spot.

You posted that screenshot just before it updated to show I passed Nkato...... I also am crunching away at another 200k+ WU so I shall continue my climb!

Side note - my laptop 1070 apparently has more shaders than the desktop 1070 but it’s clocked slower. So my current OC to well above desktop clocks means my laptop has a beefier 1070 than a desktop with one......Honestly never ex pected to say “Yeah the laptop version of your card is MORE powerful”.

Interesting note on that GPU - not what I would have expected.

I just brought another system online for folding. My Plex server, another i7, sits in the living room doing its thing, but I decided to put it to better use. It took a bit of time to configure because the app didn’t recognize my video card, but I found a little help online and got that one running. I’m still waiting for it to get a job (damn lazy kids these days ...) to see what it can do. I don’t even know what the GPU is - it shows up as R9 200 series, but I don’t know if it’s a 270 or 290 or something else. But whatever it is I’m sure it will help the cause.

Like I said last week, this is the most stressful thing my GPU has eperienced in a while but I am really glad I get to see what it can do and I am just ecstatic at how well it can crunch despite being a sub-1000$ refurbis hed unit from woot.com.
