But I finally found a luggage rack for sale that works with my Super Cub and I need to get all over that right now before it disappears forever. Honda changed the frame design of the C70 after a few years but kept the same designation, and all the racks I’ve been able to find after months of research are for the newer ones.
The mounting points for the racks are exactly the same but the seat mount was switched to a front-hinged style after 1971-ish . The commonly found racks don’t work with my rear-hinged seat as they would have to occupy the same space as the hinge bracket. I’ve been searching for a luggage rack that would clear the bracket pretty much since I got the bike.
It’s only $60, it’s already located in the U.S. (instead of Thailand like most aftermarket Cub parts), and I NEED IT.
Plus having a rack means I can make these cool military surplus saddlebags but that’s a further $60 in materials.

Do it! $60 will be gone in a flash anyways! You can wait to make the saddle bags. For the rack, you need to strike while the iron is hot.
