Proud moment when Sammy got into the car on her own for the first time and I didn't have to lift her in. This is now a dogs in cars thread.

Those seats...did you get the SEL? I mean, once Sammy gets done with them, you won’t be able to tell anymore, just curious.
/this is now a nerdy trimline thread, too

Execline. Which I think is an SEL in America?

The one with LED headlamps, panoramic, Fender audio, etc.
I had no idea any North American market cars went to the trouble of changing the names of their trimlines. Seems like a lot of hassle.

Correct.
And to me, I'd rather have a trim with a real name rather than alphabet soup.

They all used to mean something (Special Edition, Special Edition Limited, etc) but today it’s pointless. For a while VW went back to Komfort, Sport, Lux and stuff like that.
Are you do all sorts of
executive
things now? Gotta live up to
expectations
! :D

I remember that feeling when the dog finally jumps in the car properly . Congrats!

Mazdas also have different trims between Canada and the US - we’ve had GX, then GS, and top-trim GT for 15+ years now.

Good! Is she a fan of car rides?

Oh! I have one for this!
My buddies dog from a weekend cabin trip right before the Rona popped off.
Also, that’s what I look like in case anyone was wondering.

Watch your mouth. Although I guess technically “Autobahn” is my trim level, not GTI...........

Not my car, so please don’t tell Enterprise.

I miss my crazy girl.
Also a dog in a boat for good measure.

When I had my Cube, I used to let the doggo ride wherever she wanted . Now, with the Jag, I make her ride in the backseat. And to protect the leather, I bought a seat cover for the back seat. Works wonders, to be honest. It’s thick enough to protect everything, and big enough to prevent hair from getting all over the place back there, other than on the rubber floor mats (which, sure, easy enough to clean).

She seems to like the Alltrack more than the Fiesta. She prefers smooth acceleration to hooliganism.

Sure made me nervous. Was afraid she’d jump in and/or knock us over.

Don’t have any recent ones, but here are Blue and Raksha enjoying the Dog Happiness Window in my old 4Runner. Raksha loves riding in the new 4Runner more than anything in the world except deli turkey, but finds the C63 far too loud . She has only been in the old wagon once and seemed to like it fine.

How about a dog in a truck?
This was my mom’s little farm truck. Beatrice jumped in the back and wouldn’t get out until I gave her a ride. She did this even though she fell out of my truck the last time she rode in it and broke her foot. I had her tethered in when that happened. I made sure to use a shorter tether for this, her last ride in a truck.

He looks concerned. But he looks belted in, so he should be okay.

Scout has 11 penises, should I be concerned?

But she is concerned because she IS belted in. She doesn’t like it.
