I just got it and immediately used it to pay off my roof and put the rest towards my car payment.

If you say so!
Although I’m sure many Americans are still affraid of what will happen in the coming months and will likely hold onto the money.
I’ m personally torn, there are certainly good uses of an extra $1200 for me , but work is still touch and go right now.

Nothing for me yet, assuming I remembered which bank account I used for my taxes.

I have to wait a few weeks yet, no direct deposit. Eventually I will be using it to pay legal fees to go through bankruptcy. Make it work for me, am I right?

Did you have to fill out an online form to get the direct deposit ?

Just got ours! It will be going towards insulating and vapor barrier-ing our crawlspace since the squirrels that lived here before us decided that we didn’t need those things.

Was I supposed to do anything for this beyond filing my taxes?

I believe they are using last years tax return info, so if you filed your 2018/2019 taxes and got a refund via DD, it will go to the same place.
If not, you will have to wait until the President puts his signature on each one, then licks a stamp, and mails it. (he is putting his signature in the Memo section, because he’s not legally authorized to ‘sign’ the checks)
This article says physical checks will start going out in May, continuing through August. Hopefully they won’t shut down the USPS before that.

I got money too! I didn't expect any but I'll just donate it to the shelter I got my kitty from last week.

I was finally able to login to my bank account. I has it now, too! Thank gawd I won’t have to look at a check with his signature on it!
...bad enough that we’ll all have to look at bills with Mnuchin’s name on it for years to come .

If you had direct deposit set up for your refund it should go there automatically. If not you’ll have to wait for a physical check in May or something like that.

My large bank employer gave us all an extra $600 bonus I guess for not quitting or taking leave during covid. Almost exactly half of it went to taxes. I don’t even get the money in my account until Friday but I can already see my check stub. Not complaining I'll take a free $303 dollars.

We'd better not have to report this stimulus package as income.

You’ll get it the same way you got your last tax return. If it was direct deposit you’ll get that, otherwise you have to wait for a check.
