Oppo continues to lay down the points and climb the team ranking. We were in the 8000s on Sunday and we’re already more than halfway to the top of the heap! And who’s this Deltazx1 person? MANIAC! The next discarded server farm you see on the side of the road might be jminer’s! (My upgraded GPU will be here in a few days....)

How long is it taking everyone to get a new work unit once one is completed ? Is that based on your processing speed as well?

It’s mystery. Deltazx1 has previously sent work to the Overclock.net group as well. But are they an oppo regular with a different handle, or just a lurker with a hot machine who wanted to join in?

The first few times, I exited and restarted my client and I got one, but now after a few days it only takes 5 minutes or so

Depends on the work unit. Some are bigger than others. On my crappy 10 year old Athlon II X4 with a GEFORCE GT 640, it can be as little as a few hours and as long as 1.5 days.

And I suspect that due to my lowly spec, I’m not getting the biggest work units.

And that’s also why (I suspect) you havr  some people with more points yet have fewer work units.

I should join this when I get home.  Don’t have much, but I’ve got a fancy high efficiency power supply that I feel the need to justify getting.  (Seriously, the power supply is probably the best piece of equipment in my computer.)

My 2 GPU machines haven’t gotten a single GPU job since I’ve been up. Just cranking on CPU only today it seems. So my points aren’t adding up much at all.

It is looking like I will definitely be overtaken today. Awesome!!!  I’m seriously excited about all of this.

My next upgrade will probably be an all new PC. This was a $600 best buy one from 2012 that had no dedicated graphics , that I’ve brought up to 16gb ram and gave it a 1060. The 1060 blew the super cheap power supply I got for it, so now I’ve got one with the fancy platinum efficiency rating.

For now it works. And thats good enough.... for now.

One other thing I noticed... while JKMiner got his numbers over 10 clients, our buddy DeltaZX1 is racking up those numbers with ONE client.

So my guess is that it must be a fairly new desktop/workstation... probably with at least two high end graphics cards (And the cards themselves being something like an NVidia RTX 208 0 or better ) working in tandem

Also apparently with the top end NVidia cards, in theory, 4 of them can be set up to work in tandem.

Of course that would also mean a motherboard with the necessary 4 slots, probably at 1600 watt power supply and a decent sized case with good cooling.

And you could probably turn off your furnace and just have that rig heat your home while running Folding@Home.

I’m hoping I can crank out around 1 million a day, lately with a ton of people folding, workloads can take awhile to come down. The client shows I should be doing anywhere between 1.5-1.9 million a day, but the best I’ve hit lately is around 1.2 a day.
