Desolate Kentucky backroads. Stevie on full volume through the Bose speakers. A drive with no real destination in mind.

And, a Mazda6. Good for the soul.

And, that reflection, though.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I had to get out of the house this evening and spend some time alone. Working from home, splitting toddler duty with my wife, and my wife herself being 28-weeks pregnant is all just...a lot.

Ah, I was wondering which Stevie you were going with, Nicks, Wonder or Ray Vaughn. No real wrong way to go there. Edge of Seventeen is a classic. I’ll add another.

This sounds like a great day, although “full volume” makes my ears hurt.

In Western Washington, you have to be at least 80 miles away from Seattle before you can find anything even remotely resembling a backcountry road that stretches on for miles.

Fuck.

Me: “ What color is it?”

You: “Whatever is in front of it, but slightly dark bluer.”

The only time I ever went over half volume in my car, even with my tendency to like it loud, was when somewhere between my phone, the aux cord, and the car the music would come out at 1/3 volume. Then, full volume was too quiet. I would absent mindedly switch over to the radio and lose my hearing.

It goes to 50 or something. I had it on 35 which was loud enough. Haha.
