Had the first backyard fire of the season tonight, isolated of course.
I took this next shot on my D5600 and it looks great on my phone lol no idea how it’ll look to you computer people though. Hope it’s good enough!

I was out driving in the country last night in my Cabriolet, roof down and looking up to see a giant moon was kind of surreal. And it was so warm, 70s at night, when just last week it was in the 40s. And tomorrow it’ll be back to the 40s...

Nice!
Unfortunately our fire pit died during its last fire a few weeks ago. It was quite old and served us well, but the bottom rusted out finally . I was going to run out and buy another one, but the boxes and boxes of scrap wood I have to burn are at school, and I’m not allowed in the building right now.

I sprayed mine with high heat rustoleum, but the water from my last fire of 2019 never fully dried from the sand and now it's definitely rusting. But I'll keep an eye on it and get another eventually. Totally worth the cost IMO

Haha yeah 63 yesterday and did a couple miata drives for essentials. Not during the moon though that would have been cool.

We’ve been having a lot of fires, both in our lawn-fire-pit (a ring of rocks in the lawn) and on our land, where it’s like the Wild West - brush everywhere and no rules other than “ don’t start a forest fire.” We’ve had some big fires already over there, there’s no better way to get rid of endless little brush and logging debris.

The moon looks like my driveway; covered in oil stains.
