That’s my neighbor’s cat: George.
It took nearly two years, but I finally cleared enough such that my pickup will fit in the alley, which is super convenient as now vehicles can park right next to the back gate.
In an attempt to hammer home how big of a deal this is: when we first bought the house, the back gate couldn’t even open it was so overgrown.
Here’s what it looked like just last year, even after I had already taken out 850 lbs of debris:
So woohoo for me : Zoidberg!

That is most impressive, that kind of yard work is brutal.

It’s beyond brutal, and it required my neighbor pulling the stumps with much more capable pickup. Then chisel/chop the stumps enough to where they’re light enough to roll or 1-man. This is basically three days nonstop (except food or doggo walks) and is not something I would take on were I employed.

So to summarize: th e coronavirus has resulted in amazing improvements to your property and improved relationships with your neighbors.
And unemployment.

I’ve been there. Very hard work. These two photos represent about half of it, and that was just one summer quite a while ago. Of course I had help too!

Amazing what a few decades of "it's fine" can do...

It was quite aggressively most years, but the real damage was done from neglect on the other side of the fence. That’s where all this came from. Also having many fences within fences didn’t help.
But it's pretty tamed right now, though that a year ago.

When you first posted about this, I was reminded of the time when my uncle came to my mom’s property to lend a hand with his truck. When the driveway was cut through the forest, the contractor just piled the trees on either side at the treeline. We had to drag them out of the piles so we could break them down and burn them.
My job was to run the chain around the downed trees so my uncle could pull them out with the truck. The first few rounds went fine. T hen we found the stubborn pile. He tried to gently pull as he had the other piles, but the wheels just started spinning. So, he backed up about a truck length and gunned it. The chain went taught and stopped the truck cold. Then he did it again. That time i t looked like he gave himself whiplash.
Before trying a third time, he did the prudent thing and came back to see where I had put the chain. What I had failed to see was the tree that had been pushed over, but was still alive and well. T he chain had a firm grip on that tree and the tree had a firm grip on the ground. There was no way the truck would ever pull it out.
I think we both learned something that day.

I'm just surprised you came out of that in one piece. You're strong, and clearly have some great people in your corner.

well, 1 piece
would be a BIT of a stretch
.
joking aside though, (and I will become one of those bastards that preaches this whenever I can) WEAR YOUR GEAR PEOPLE. The reason I came out of that as ‘unscathed’ as I did was because of that crazy jacket. (and yes, I will be buying another)

I told my wife about that jacket. I told her it cost more than my pickup and was at least twice as safe
