This DT175 is non running, but has a title, and is exactly the bike I want/can afford. Yes it would be a project, but that’s fine. As long as the engine has compression .

Wait... Just to be clear, are you saying you want 35 one year-old two-stroke motorcycles, or one 35 year-old two-stroke motorcycle?

It’s plural because I’ve shown her multiple options. I only want one of them

It’s handy for non motorcycle people like me, I can’t tell the difference from looking and I’m sure I could look it up, but I’m also sure I don’t want an automatic.

Pass on it. Hold out for a DT250 . The 175 is kind of an in- b etween bike.

As someone who has this...
If you are on a budget, this is a bad idea. I got this one for free, title and all, and am well into 4 figures and it really needs new wheel hoops still. Look for a running 4 stroke bike, a bit extra up front will save you 10 fold in the long run.

There’s usually a few for sale, but with the current events, Craigslist is pretty sparse. There were a lot of cb400a’s and cb750a’s built from around 68 to 74ish. The 750a’s were a staple in motorcycle bracket racing as they pretty much ran the same pass every time.
