Moving sucks, but it's a bit better when you don't have to rent a truck.

That was one of the best things when I worked for a restoration company. All sorts of equipment and trucks I could borrow.
Enjoy the new place!

Which restoration firm did you work for?

A regional one here on St Louis - Woodard Cleaning & Restoration. They do send crews out for major disasters like flooding or hurricanes but 90% of the work is within 100 miles from here unless it's a large commercial job.
Worked there about 4 years and learned a ton and quite liked it.

How are you holding up? I wish circumstances weren’t what they are, as I could sure use a drink away from the home. Guessing you could too .

I’d be lying if I said I haven’t done this

Sure could, but at least I have my health, probably.
It's not so bad, if you ignore the financial ruin and inability to interact with loved ones.

USPS is hiring! Benefits and pay rock, if you can make it past a year of hell.

So how are you doing with all of this coronavirus stuff at the moment?

In any other context regarding the virus this would be somewhere between strange and inappropriate to say, but it feels like a surprise Christmas. We’re up about 80% in volume. At the same time, the increased steps to reduce interactions with people/items certainly makes things more involved and complicated. It’s weird, man. No cases in our station so far though, so at least there’s that. How about you?
