Right, then...

Was looking up something for waxes and stumbled across this

https://www.chemicalguys.com/project-j97-ultra-refined-white-brazilian-paste-wax/N_002.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwg6b0BRBMEiwANd1_SJah6rl8viD3IVU69oAzFTk5Ncg0W8Y8DmDDGkRU6BGf-4kgPErePhoCZYsQAvD_BwE

$850?!  That better make the car see through for that price.   I mean, I’m sure they all have good products and don’t think they’re scam artists, but $850?

Order up some $99 per half pound Kopi Luwak coffee to pair with the wax and youre all set for a nice day in your gated HOA waterfront community.

I thought that was a leftover April fools fake item, but nope, you can actually buy it.

That will be a “More Doug” episode for the ages.

I hope he eats some on camera to prove whether it is in fact edible or not.

That is 4.2 lbs of what a appears to be a machined billet aluminum container filled with hand made wax. I can see where they get $400 of it from

On a Taco forum someone had the same idea....the container is the cost, not the contents.

Chemical Guys is whack. They make some okay stuff but have way too many products that overlap for no reason. I feel bad if someone actually would buy that.

Agreed on overlap(and the whack price). Through casual research it seems at max there’d be 4ish different steps to polish and wax and a product for each step, not “use this wax if you live above 39° latitude and only drive your car on prime numbered days...”

Exactly! I much prefer Adam’s Car Care for user friendly products . Recently they added more gimmicky stuff like CG, but overall they have a simple, concise product line. H20 Guard ‘N Gloss is one of my favorites

Griots is the bomb, and reasonably priced. Also, they’re based in Tacoma, WA

If it’s Brazilian was, what exactly is it supposed to be used for? If your car has unwanted hair growing somewhere, I think it may have more serious problems which need to be addressed.

I have an artist friend who has been able to make a living off his art (has had studios in Milan and NYC), and his advice to my wife was to charge stupid prices for you artwork and rich people will buy it because they’ll assume the price means its good. This applies to many products.
