New fuel pump is lovely, carb is pretty nicely tuned but I think I’ll still get an AFR gauge.

Clutch is grabbing closer to the floor than I’m used to, and I think it’s definitely time for some new tires. Good to drive this thing after a whole freaking year of sitting.

Me too. After all the work I put into it I can’t believe I let it sit for a year, but that year sure went quick

I’m jealous of your wheels. Mine suffers from the JDM syndrome where seemingly every 80's and 90's truck/SUV had the OEM wheels replaced with aftermarket alloys of some flavor. I’d love to get a set of OEM 15x7 wheels in good shape for my Pajero. Given the condition issues with what’s on it, a new set 15" wheels of some flavor might be what my stimulus funds get spent on.

Thats understandable when there was a year like 2019. But it all paid off now that you're scootin around in your little red Raider

It is a bit amazing how almost all imported vehicles don’t have their stock wheels anymore. 15s might be a bit small though. I’m pretty sure mine are 16s but I could be wrong.

Mine has 15x7 (same as stock size on the truck).  Between the brand-new set of Falken AT tires, and that there are still a variety of good AT tire options in 31x10.5r15, I’m planning on sticking with them.  Other wise a 16" wheel opens up a lot more options these days.

That makes me wonder if mine are 15s too.. ..how are the Falkens? I’m leaning heavily towards KO2s but still considering other options

They’re very good in the limited dirt I’ve put them through . They’re not KO2s, but they could be thought of as a 90% solution for like 60% of cost.

All the Pajero of that vintage ran 15" as stock. 1 6" were the preserve of the Land Cruiser, Defender and Patrol. However, at the time, skinny was in...

I’m pretty happy with the 31x10.5r15 tire size on mine.  In a moderately aggressive AT tire, i t seems to be a good size for all kinds of off-road fun while not being unreasonable around town.

That’s the key...run whatever you are comfortable with. I’ve never been a fan simply because (back in the day) when I was a fun time off roader...the available fatter tyres often had very ordinary sidewalls. And because they stuck out, they often got damaged or even destroyed.

As a result, 265/75R16 was the fattest I ever ran. Currently, the farm ute is running 235/85R16....
