I went to my friend’s shop and grabbed the driver bucket seat from the truck. I have what I need to rebuild it and a guy made me covers a while ago out of OD green Su nbrella material. These things were stuffed with burlap and horse hair from what I’m told. I decided to shake out the back rest and seal it up with gaff tape from work, once it’s in place nobody will ever see the back of it. I had no idea there was a sli ding rail on these, I assumed it was a fixed seat, but it does and I will have to lube it up before we install it. It is missing some bits of the frame but where it bolts down to the wood base is ok so I think once it is stuffed full of stuff and I put the memory foam pad on it etc.. it should be fine. I’ll try to finish it tomorrow if I can find some POR15 to put on the rusty springs, I am going have to use some rigging wire from work to tie a bunch of places together which is how a bunch of this thing is held together.
Awww your Jeep is so cute
This is the green 71' Z that the old lady we used to run into had, it’s a one owner car with original paint. S he died not too long ago. I had given her my friend’s card so she could get the interior redone, soon after she became ill. Her family want to fix it up and it’s over at the shop now.

So that’ s what I did today. I just went to the shop and grabbed the seat, I said hi but I didn’t do anything else.

Nice!
I’ve driven a family friend’s m37 that has an iron block/head 354ci hemi conversion, what a trip.

We don’t have a swap, it’s a 230 flathead 6. I’m not thrilled about the tranny but I guess I’ll have to get used to it. If I ever did swap it I would use a slightly newer straight 6 and then have a fully synched tranny.
