Knowing the well deserved reputation CRX have. I was not one bit surprised to find this out in farm country where it’s mechanical foibles would be small beer compared to what gets fixed on a daily basis.

CRX could be NP. I swear those wheels were on half the cars in my high school parking lot in 1994.
Price is too damn high, but these are timeless cars that will always have some value:

I prefer coupes but that is a serious NP if it is all checked out. There used to be a nicely restored convertible near me for $5,700 or so that had a rebuilt engine. Corvairs are really cheap for what you are getting.

For starters, here’s a Cadillac XLR for $20,000. S hame about the wheels, though .
And a 1979 Fiat 124 Spider for $4,000 with ZERO details given regarding the condition. Looks nice, at least, though I see bumper removal in this car’s future.
Or a 1997 BMW (or as they spell it in the ad, “B.M.W.” 328 I. Didn’t Jake Paul blow one of these up once? Whatever the case, this one looks pretty nice, and it’s $4,995.
And my personal favorite, a 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Monza for $6,500! It’s got a rear-mounted, turbocharged(!), air-cooled flat six and a four-speed manual. What more could you want?
Though this 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7 is a close second. These, in my opinion, are the prettiest of all the classic pony cars, and although this one is the most expensive at $26,000, it also has the most information in the description and seems to be in pretty darn good shape. The three-speed automatic is unfortunate, but the car apparently has 418 hp now, which I imagine makes up for the transmission a little bit.

And their air cooled flat six is supposed to be relatively simple and fixable. Seems like a good candidate for a first classic, alongside the Beetle.
