I just have a craving for Road Kill and a decent amount of free time. Is it still good? Is it all it should be? I’m after good new stuff, not necessarily the stuff that was n YT that I’ve watched many times.

It's pretty cheap through Amazon. Get it for a month, watch what you want, and then drop it.

I enjoy it, and I believe they have a discount going right now. If you have Hagerty insurance they offer a complimentary subscription.

Worth it, i think they have a deal for $1 or $2 a month right now, and 1st month free.

It’s like a lot of the smaller sub services. Totally worth it for like 3 months. Then you’ve watched all you wanna watch and the new stuff isn’t as compelling.
I subscribe to HBO for like three months out of the year, same principle.

I have a subscription, and have had so for about 6 months now. For $5/month, you get a decent amount of content. However, a huge part of it is the sort of stuff they have for free on YouTube. 6 minute clips and the like.
I’ve gotten about what I want out of my subscription, so I might cancel it pretty soon. I’d recommend going for the free month and re-evaluation if it’s worth your time and money.

Yeah, it’s worth it. They’re not all awesome, but they never were. Their best episode to date, IMO, came out a few months ago, detailing Finnegan and Tony trying to win Drag Week. I’m not really even into drag racing, and I was at the edge of my seat.

If you have an amazon prime account, get it thru there. I have a Roku device on my tv, and the motor trend app is horrible. Slow, impossible to navigate and crashes constantly. I have to use my laptop or phone to watch it, and part of reason I got it in the first place was to watch top gear with my kids.

Forgot to add:
The MotorTrend UI on my Roku TV is kind of garbage. Goes very slowly, and it often feels clunky as hell. It actually makes the Disney+ UI seem intuitive and functional by comparison.
Example (which they may have fixed in the last 2 months): I f you watch a show and skip to the next episode or back to the main menu during the credits, with even just 2 seconds left , the homepage still marks the episode as unfinished.

Sweet! I’ve seen some drag week coverage from the mighty car mods guys so I’ve got an idea of what that is!
I forgot to mention in my post how far this is from my usual interests. I’m not American, I don’t care about muscle cars or drag, and I don’t really understand 7 liter engines putting out relatively small amounts of power.
But those guys are sick haha

Hey, whatever works!
You'll also get access to all the old Top Gear seasons. I'm watching the Bolivia special right now.

Sure, that much can be true. But it also runs slower than any of the other streaming services I use on the TV (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Pluto, Amazon Prime, Plex, etc ). It’s also one of only two services to actually cause my TV to freeze and need to be manually restarted.
I’ve never really tried using it in a browser window before, but I did just install the app to my phone. It works so much immensely better on my phone. Unfortunately, I don’t watch too much there.

I've had it for a couple of years and I'm getting ready to drop it. I think they've lost their mojo.

Are you saying roadkill is available through Amazon prime?

Yes, they even have a deal somewhere for $12 a year with ads, $24 without. The latest annoyance with MT is that they are trying to be more like other streaming channels and releasing a single show over a 8 week period or so. In the past you would have a new episode of each main show about once a month.

It is worth it. I have it, and there are lots of good shows on it. I think you might like it.
