Catching the tail end of today’s stream. I wish it was actually broadcast in true 4:3.

The period correct TV is an awesome touch.

Cool monitor-style Trinitron there.

I remember when I was a kid, a friend’s family had a similar Trinitron, maybe a generation older. It had a remote I found interesting - somewhat large, and the buttons were numerous colors, on a flat surface.

Watching older content is quite enjoyable on this old Trinitron.

It’s there. To be fair, the DVD/VHS combo   is ~15 years newer - not exactly period correct...

Ha, I saw the DVD and thought the other panel flipped down to reveal a control panel related to audio.

This is the remote this TV should have.  I currently don’t have the remote for it.  Funny thing is my parents have a late ‘80s Sony stereo system that uses a very similarly styled remote, even down to the fonts and graphics.  It’s a slim design with small buttons, and I love it.

I think the one I recall was a generation older, maybe early 80s. It seemed kind of funky/vintage even in the mid-late 90s. I googled and found nothing similar, which makes me think maybe my memory deceives me. Maybe something like this, but square/rectangular colored buttons:
