I’m semi moved in. I also have a roommate now! My best friend! Surprise!
Seeing as he is a bartender, I figured I’d bring all my booze over first. Yeah... Everything above is mine. He probably has half again as much, mostly whiskey and IPA. Before you call AAA, I promise I’m not an alcoholic. I had a fake ID fresh out of high school and got in the habit of buying two bottles a week. Thought it was the coolest thing in the world at the time. Anyways, I did that for like a year. But... I also drank very infrequently so... The supply built up!
Nowadays I just drink cider, or occasionally do a cocktail night with friends. But between my buddy and I, we are going to have one of the best-stocked home bars in the state. He has some pretty cool kegs from downtown restaurants he’s worked at, as well as beer taps, wine fridges, liquid nitrogen containers, every bit of drink-making paraphernalia you could imagine... It’s going to be pretty cool for the one day a month I’m willing to drink more than a cider lol.
Living room you ask? Oh, just a MUSIC STUDIO. I can’t wait to get this all set up and looking nice.
Super Nintendo is about to get hooked up to a massive projector. My goal is to be drunk and at the first Ghost House by like 6pm. We’ll see.
(update)
Here’s my starting lineup.
Also, I love lemon drops!

Drinks and SNES are awesome, have fun.

Sounds like the good time everyone else wishes they had right now. Plenty to do after a hard day’s work saving the world, plus an awesome (presumably) roommate to jam out with. You earned it.

I'm just dreaming of the day that I don't have to work seven days a week

I hope to aquire a taste for whiskey, but that’s firmly in my friends wheelhouse at the moment.
Glenlevit, blue label or *snickers* cherry-flavored bargainbbin whiskey ?

Is that a thing? Because now I kind of want to try it....

Absolutely! It’s kinda like a Rusty Nail but with Tequila instead of Scotch. It’s also like a Margarita but without lime. Best enjoyed in a turtleneck, listening to

Either I’m pregnant or I have a brain tumor or both but I just had this idea to mix chartreuse and pickle juice and I can’t sleep until I see what it tastes like.

Glenlivet please.

I didn’t have enough pickle juice so it just tastes like chartreuse

That is a terrifying quantity of schnapps-esque hangover-in-a-bottle liqueurs to work through slowly...you’re going to need to throw a shots-only housewarming party. Maybe margaritas to sip , you’re well situated there.

Real neck-through Bich in photo? Love it!! Ive got a nice outbuilding/garage for the jam room. Did public service years ago for noise ordinance. Hoping to make it a doom space soon!

I tried the blue label, and while I still didn't love it, it was the first whiskey where I could imagine myself potentially pouring another glass. I'm curious about the Glenlivet now.

Seems fine to me. Quarantine is going to generate a record number of best worst cocktail recipes.

Mockingbird, but yes it’s one of the nicer ones! Years ago I had a matching Bich but fully natural colorways instead of blue wings.
That is hilarious. I'm hoping not to bug the neighbors too much. Also hoping to get some property soon to get a set-up like yours!

I honestly can't recall ever trying schnapps. Might have to fix that tonight. Also about three gallons of Baileys. Irish coffee it is!

Blue Label is a blend, albeit a very good one, so the goal is about 98% smoothness and 2% interestingness—no surprise it’s easy to pour another round . Glenlivet is single malt, so a bit more more loved by the purists/nerds/snobs , but still very approachable. From there, you’ll be on to even more complex highland and speyside single malts like Macallan and Aberlour (my favorite) and the Irish stuff, and soon after that you’ll be drinking the tire-fire smoky Islays. Or not!
I was supposed to host
a
whiskey tasting (a side gig I used to have) for some colleagues as a fundraiser, maybe I’ll do it as a
video and share.

Do it. You’re younger, your hangovers are probably milder than mine , you’ll be fine! The Campari in my happy hour Negronis and Boulevardiers presents the same danger . I tried to work on my laptop outside in the shade, got cold, and now Irish coffee sounds like a fantastic idea.

Whoops! Mockingbird yes! Havent seen one in forever, just mesmerized by the neck through! I dont play enough anymore to go there, but my main is a Toronado, and I have an Indonesian Tele Custom which somehow sounds great tuned down to C

I keep getting suggestions for fancy cocktails on Instagram and I don’t have any of the lesser ingredients that actually make them fancy. Looks like you could make just about any of them.

I remember reading articles about the toronado in old guitar world mags. Pretty cool. Coincidentally, my Mockingbird is also tuned down to C at the moment! I stockpiled some old Zakk Wylde signiture 10-60 strings before they were discontinued...

Can you not be a AAA member if you're an alcoholic or something?

Fun to take some low down riffs! I think I have a 10-48 set on the tele. Enjoy a LC 500 experience pic!
