I went for a late night drive, empty roads, very pleasant
I made the kids clean the wife’s car (mostly their own mess in there) to earn “screen time”
continued playing with my Civic’s wheels
I spotted the outcome of
He was a boy, She was a girl, Can I make it any more obvious?
baked! this is my spinach and bacon quiche. the daughter though...
she has basked lemon cheesecake, cocoa cookies, poppy seed scones, and caramel blondie brownies
the son has been preoccupied with acquiring new stuffed animals, which has meant doing chores for money
I too have been chorin, seen here in the work from home uniform, pj shorts and a polo shirt, jsut gotta be handsome from the waist up
AAAAND chorin. decided to do a repaint of a bathroom from purple, to BLLUUUUEEEE!!!!
and repaint below the chair rail (which I put in #handyman) from pink to teal... or, “refresh”. the bathroom was “waterfall”, technically
but all work and no play makes something something, so we did some minecraft, then some minecraft, then oh yeah, minecraft
and played frisbee golf every day (it counts towards their remote school P.E. credit!)
which was part of the ongoing plan to completely wear out the puppy, Zoe. which includes tormenting her with sausages
playing chasing games in the hallways
not letting her out at night
but also, getting out every night for an other people free walk around the neighborhood
and reprimanding her for leaving dusty paw prints on my new leather
and forcing her to pose daintily for the ‘grams
but mostly, LOTS of walks (ensuring we remain socially distant)
I bought a new toy
and immediately made the vroom sounds
is it a carona-tine without a Zoom meeting with family? it is not. I jumped on the bandwagon to sing my niece happy birthday
but it’s not all digital, we did a drive-by birthday party. Decorated our cars and drove past the kid’s house singing songs and dropped off his present.
we did combine some tech with this too though, as we were at the same time watching another friend’s wedding happen via Facebook live
went on a bike ride or twelve
pondered how others are coping when I came across this combination along the path
went home and unrelatedly mangled a fork in my insinkerator
bought a new toy from amazon. neat, now I know measurements of things
and continued to play silly games in photochoppering
and shared all the virus memes via text or facebook
and that’s about it. thanks so much for skimming through the entirety of my facebook-esque post

We are living parallel lives!
Late night drives
Two kids (girl is the eldest and she loves to bake )
Similar pampas grass with sons who are clipping them (I let mine use an electric hedge trimmer)
Similar blue paint swatches on the wall (somebody can’t make a decision so our wall is still beige with paint swatches)
Dog
MTB
Conference calls
Disc Golf!
Cue the twilight zone music....

This is really funny to me because that particular version is way better than the modern ones, crusty old box and all. It even has the same faded yellow clear tape holding the box together. The spinner in that version is just so satisfying.
