My office was full of splayed tools, paint cans, office junk, ladders, etc. So I cleaned that all up and even had motivation to hang a couple of things on the wall finally. The Godfather frame weighs an awful lot, so it will need a stud. I usually use the “knock” method, but it’s less effective on original 116-year old walls, so I think I'll dig out the old stud finder buuuut since I already opened a beer, maybe tomorrow...

Good work! Too many people are afraid of a little color in their home. But the theme cannot be orange because there is no citrus art anywhere. I looked twice.

EDIT: meanwhile I can’t bring myself to finally tear this up. Or do anything really.

This is how I’ve been staying sane myself. Spent 4 hours in the rain today working on cutting back last year’s growth .

Every bit of me hurts now, but my yard hasn’t looked better i n a long time.

It’s funny how, as I get older, I enjoy cleaning things up and then just looking at them. The yard, the garage, the living room, etc. When I was young, I never understood why  my step mom kept the house so neat. Forty years later, I get it. My house always looks lived in, but if it gets too bad I just have to do something about it. I can’t live in squalor any more.

I less enjoy the cleaning, but do really enjoy the end results. I've been cleaning my house for months now and have loved the extra space and usability. Frankly I'm angry with myself I didn't do this a long time ago.

It’s sort of like Christmas for me. I love the tree, the decorations, the packages, but I also like getting everything cleaned up and put away in January. Feels like a fresh start. Although putting away the decorations is a PITA.
