A mildly productive day. Slept in til 10, helped get the house cleaned up, took a walk with the family to the neighborhood pond and saw a baby great horned owl in its nest, cleaned out the blocked up freezer drain in the garage refrigerator that has been leaking water into the fridge for the last two years, cleaned out the whole fridge and wiped it down, talked my son through replacing the inner tube on the back wheel of his bike, replaced the inner tube on my wife’s bike, got my garage work area cleaned up enough to actually use it for the first time in three years.
Time for a cold beer.
Oh, wait, I’ve already had three....

The little dog asked to go out in the wee hours a few days ago. There were two owls hooting back and forth to each other when we went outside . I wonder if they were discussing whether or not they could carry our little dog over the fence before I got to them.
Sounds like a productive day. Go forth and conquer!

Fixed the leaky faucet on the main floor bathroom. Mowed the back. Cut the lower limbs on the maple tree out front. Fixed the headlight in the RAM; again.
It’s supposed to rain tomorrow. I’ll probably sluff off tomorrow.
Nice to see you make some progress . It seems to be the season for it.

I have been severely lacking in motivation lately. It felt good to get some things accomplished. Yesterday it was the backyard, which hadn’t had its spring clean up yet. Now I enjoy looking out the back window again.

I’ve got a long list of stuff I need to do. Motivation has been lacking, though. Felt good to get some things accomplished.

That sounds like a very productive day, congrats. The best I got is I tried to seal up a window that was leaking water for weeks (I say tried
because I don’t know if we’ve had a rain that has hit it or not so still TBD).

T he weeds have taken over our back yard. I put out some weed killer, but it’s had little effect. The next option is to let it all grow and mow it tall in hopes that the grass chokes out the weeds. If that doesn’t work, I’m looking at ripping it all out and installing fresh sod.
I did install a couple of roll-down sunshades last weekend. That makes the porch more tolerable in the late afternoon. We just have to be careful about rolling them up if it’s going to be windy.

Our garage fridge was without power for a week a couple of months back because some dam fool contractor tripped a circuit breaker and didn’t bother resetting it or checking if anything else was on the same circuit. Unfortunately it had some meat in it waiting to be prepped and frozen...
I’ve washed it down, bleached it, cleaned the drain tube and evaporation tray, and it still stinks . I’m taking the lockdown as an opportunity to move the contents and air it out for a month or two and see if that helps. Otherwise it’s going to get demoted to bulb storage.

I never knew how awesome it is to have a second fridge until I got one. We remodeled our kitchen three years ago and got a new one. The original went to the garage.
